About Dr. Barker:
Dr. Barker is a graduate of Southern College of Optometry. He is president of eyecarecenter OD, P.A. He has published papers and lectured extensively, both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Barker has participated in numerous contact lens-related clinical research projects and co-authored some of the first national articles written on hyperopic soft contact lenses and tinted soft contact lenses. He serves as an extern preceptor and on the Alumni Council at the Southern College of Optometry.

Dr. Barker is Immediate Past President of the North Carolina State Optometric Society and serves on the Essilor National ECP Advisory Panel.

Dr. Barker is a charter member of the AOA contact lens section, a 1994 North Carolina Entrepreneur of the Year winner in the retail category and has served on numerous charitable and civic related boards.
