Dr. Anna Leggett
Dr. Leggett was born in Hungary but has called Greenville, North Carolina home for over 25 years. After receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, she went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.
Dr. Leggett is currently a member of the North Carolina Optometric Society and the American Optometric Association.
In her spare time, she enjoys riding horses and spending time with heer family. Appointments can be scheduled with Dr. Leggett in the Williamston (252-792-6611) or Greenville Boulevard (252-756-8787) locations.
Dr. Whitesell is a native of Wilmington, NC since age 11. After high school, she moved to Raleigh, NC where she attended NC State University and graduated with a degree in Biochemistry. She then continued her journey to her dream job at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. She was a member of Student Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity for all 4 years of school. She won the Alcon 4th year Student Scholarship Award and the Varilux Student Grant in 2013. Dr. Whitesell was selected as a member of Gold Key, which is the highest form of leadership in the student optometry program. Throughout all the years of school, Dr. Whitesell always knew she wanted to come back to North Carolina and work in a rural community, such as Williamston. She enjoys practicing medical optometry daily and also loves working with children of all ages. She also enjoys going to St. Peter's Catholic Church in Greenville, NC with her husband, Jim, each Sunday. Dr. Whitesell is also interested in getting more involved in community service and plans to join the Junior League of Greenville in Spring of 2014.
