We are excited to announce that we are now offering telehealth services to our patients. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic we are now offering telehealth visits for certain medical conditions with your eye doctor. Having a “virtual” visit from the comfort of your home is the best way to provide treatment and keep you safe. Our eye doctors will do a consultation via your smartphone and bill the visit to your medical insurance, just like a standard in-person visit to our office.
Our doctors are committed to providing a high level of vision care while also keeping you and the public safe. Telehealth visits are available for certain conditions of the eye. If you are experiencing a medical eye issue you may be eligible for a telehealth visit.
Give us a call today. All we need is your name and a brief description of the issue you’re experiencing to determine if you are a candidate for this service. We will take your insurance information right over the phone and get you scheduled with a doctor on call in your area.
If possible, before your telehealth visit, download this visual acuity chart with instructions on how to check your vision in your home. This information will help the doctor in caring for your eye problem.
What if I’m not a current patient of your practice?
If you have a medical eye emergency our doctors are here to serve you from the comfort of your home. If you are experiencing a medical eye issue, you may be eligible for a telehealth visit.
How will I talk to the doctor during this visit?
A smartphone with a camera is required to complete this consultation with our doctors. The visit is initiated via a secure link that is texted to the number you provide. If you do not have access to a smartphone we suggest working with a friend or family member you may be with at this time. If you are experiencing a medical eye issue, you may be eligible for a telehealth visit.
What if I don’t have a smartphone?
If you do not have access to a phone or do not wish to have a telehealth visit, our team will share the details of your complaint to the doctor on call for his or her opinion on recommended next steps.
I notice your office is open a few hours a day. Can I just walk in to see a doctor?
Our preferred method of treatment at this time is via a telehealth consultation with one of our doctors. Not every condition can be treated in this way, though, and your doctor may recommend you visit one of our offices during our current limited office hours (available in some areas) for further treatment. Our goal is to treat you from a distance, following CDC recommended social distancing guidelines. If your condition requires in-person care we would prefer to see you in our facility versus suggesting a visit to a busy urgent care of ER during this time of crisis.

Telehealth visits are available for scheduling from 7am – 5:30pm, Monday – Friday. If you have an urgent medical issue outside of these hours that cannot wait, select regions do have after hours care available; call your local office for more details. Please note that with the way COVID-19 is changing our business daily these services may or may not be available during alternate hours and may change anytime.
