Alisa Strickland, OD

Alisa Strickland, OD, is an experienced optometrist in Smithfield, NC at eyecarecenter on Bright Leaf Blvd. Dr. Strickland attended North Carolina State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. Dr. Strickland then attended the University at Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Optometry, receiving her doctorate in 1988. she completed a Primary Care Residency at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.

Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Strickland then taught at The Southern College of Optometry in Memphis for three years. She has practiced optometry in Tennessee, Indiana, Florida, and most recently in Greenville, NC. Dr. Strickland is happy to be returning to her home county. In her spare time, Dr. Strickland has completed three half and two full marathons, and hopes to do more in the future. She enjoys sports, reading and college football.
