Anikah Hossain, OD

Dr. Anikah Hossain is an optometrist at eyecarecenter in Durham, NC, licensed in North Carolina and Florida. She was born in Bangladesh and spent part of her childhood in Japan. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Psychology from UCF before receiving her Doctor of Optometry from NSU. Her clinical training included rotations at the VA in Charlotte and the Indian Health Service in Bethel, Alaska. Dr. Hossain enjoys providing comprehensive eye care with special interests in corneal trauma, dry eye, contact lenses, and prosthetic eye care. She also completed the Apollo Amniotic Membrane Fellowship, receiving advanced training in regenerative therapies. Outside the office, she enjoys rock climbing, running, hiking, gardening, and traveling, and has completed a half marathon and summited Mt. Fuji twice.
